I'm not on social networks but here, obliged to comment: for those who like 'à la bonne franquette'. Very warm welcome, all the staff are friendly, super nice setting, the magnificent terrace. And the food, very good quality, and good quantity. I live in a village nearby and it feels like we're on vacation.A small gesture for ecology, collect glass alcohol bottles for carafes of water, example of water in a bottle of Jack . THANKS

The Ember has become our ritual very often.Pascal and his team are just adorable and listen to very good advice.Pascal and the staff come to see you if everything is okay, or if we don't need anything. Really good atmosphere. The dishes from starter to dessert are a treat, very well presented with taste, served with fresh produce. The marrow bone, the goat salad, the 3 meat plate, a treat. Also suitable for children high chairs available.I really recommend the place, the prices are really fair.See you soon

It was a bit by chance – after a flea market and on the good advice of second-hand dealers – that we discovered this little gem nestled in Violaines, a charming town in Pas-de-Calais. What a nice surprise this restaurant is, where you feel from the moment you enter that the essential is elsewhere: here, it is not personal enrichment that guides the steps of the restaurateurs, but rather the passion for the profession and the pleasure of pleasing. From our first visit, we were won over by the exceptional quality of the dishes, the generosity of the plates, and above all by the smiling, authentic and deeply human welcome of the staff... including the owners, of course! Such a positive experience that it seemed obvious to us to make a little escape from Belgium, just to relive this moment. And during our second visit? Total confirmation of our impressions! Always this human warmth, this joyful simplicity, and these tasty and hearty dishes. Eating dessert becomes an assumed sin of gluttony as it is so difficult to resist! This restaurant exudes sincerity. We feel that those who bring it to life are not there to “make money”, but to offer each customer a real moment of happiness. The pleasure they have in working can be seen in their smiles... and can be tasted on the plate. And it must be said that customer loyalty – perceptible in certain conversations gleaned here and there – is unmistakable. The map, for its part, gives stars in the eyes. The portions are generous, the prices more than reasonable, and the quality of the products is through the roof. And when, out of honesty, you are told that a product is no longer available, it is almost reassuring: it means that everything is fresh, nothing is industrial or frozen. We are far from standardized circuits: here, it is real, good, homemade. In summary? This restaurant is well worth the detour. Don’t we say “never two without three”? In our eyes, it deserves much more than a detour: it deserves to be returned again and again.

The restaurant "La braise" is great, during my visit to this restaurant I ate maroilles toast to discover because I come from Tarbes (south). I loved it!!! The dishes are generous, especially if you take a welche where they serve huge dishes! I didn't finish my plate in fact I'm disappointed not to have finished it but it was very good. I had homemade fries and even homemade mayonnaise which was really, really good! The salad with an excellent vinaigrette sauce. The waiter who is friendly, smiling, funny! I loved this server!!! Well, I really recommend this restaurant if you want to get together with family or family

Bristro very nice restaurant. The dishes are simple, effective and quite tasty. The cuisine is traditional northern cuisine: Welsh, carbonade, chicken maroilles etc.The estaminet atmosphere with Nostalgia music in the background. Enough to spend a simple and comforting moment. The staff is very welcoming, people from the North in fact. The price is also very attractive.I recommend for a quick lunch or for a dinner with no calorie limit. To discover

A great place to dine. I came down from Brussels to pay my respects to a relative - died in WW1.The staff were very friendly, as were the locals. Restaurant was full, but they found a place for us and our large Lurcher. The food was excellent with generous portions.Halfway through our lunch, one of the staff came out with a bowl of meat for our dog- it was a nice gesture and greatly appreciated. If you are round this area, give them a visit.
